My passion for research and curating historical projects was planted during a student internship in my hometown and developed further as I began adapting my doctoral thesis into a digital exhibition project.

The histories of women, gender, and sexuality have piqued my interest since I was little, though my decision to pursue them professionally came from a stint in my twenties where I moved to Los Angeles to become a doula. Practicing under a midwife whose work bridged ancestral midwifery traditions and contemporary care practices allowed me to support families across a wide range of traditions and experiences. I also witnessed firsthand the difference it made when consent and autonomy were honored, and when they were not. That lived work has deepened my commitment to reproductive justice, both past and present.

When I’m not researching or doula-ing, my days are spent with people I love moving my body, making art, and exploring new places.
